Walker's Cay Open
Official Sport Fishing Championship Event • May 15 - 17, 2026
Walker’s Cay Open 2026 brings the Sportfishing Championship (SFC) Atlantic Division to one of the most legendary billfishing destinations in the world—Walker’s Cay, located at the northernmost point of the Abacos.
Steeped in history and known for producing some of the most iconic moments in offshore fishing, Walker’s Cay sets the stage for a high-energy, multi-day tournament where Atlantic Division clubs battle for glory in true bluewater fashion. The island’s famous gantry awaits the next team to “Capture The Flag,” continuing one of sportfishing’s most celebrated traditions.
Last season, Captain Blaine Birch and the New Jersey Sea Birds Angling Club claimed victory and climbed the gantry. In 2026, all eyes are on whether they can repeat—or if a new champion will rise in the Abacos.
Across four days of competition, teams will fish world-class waters filled with billfish and pelagic species, while fans follow live updates, daily leaders, and championship moments through SFC coverage.
Sportfishing Championship will once again bring the SFC Studio on the road, delivering live tournament coverage, weigh-ins, dockside interviews, leaderboard updates, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content throughout the event.
This event also continues the partnership between Sportfishing Championship and Guidesly, helping elevate competitive offshore fishing through expanded media reach, digital storytelling, and fan engagement.
